A standard of excellence in personalized dental care enables us to provide the quality dental services our patients deserve. We provide comprehensive treatment planning and use restorative and cosmetic dentistry to achieve your optimal dental health. Should a dental emergency occur, we make every effort to see and care for you as soon as possible.
Education & Prevention
As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”. That’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.
Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Training & Expertise
As your dental health professionals, we want you to be confident knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians. We pride ourselves in providing the care you need to keep your smile healthy. To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning. We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.

We understand how uneasy some patients may feel about their dental visits, and how we can make a difference in providing a relaxing and positive experience. Meet our Doctors
Neal Potrykus, DDS
I attended Carroll College, Waukesha, WI for my undergraduate education and earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University in 1984. I take between 25 – 50 hours of continuing education every year to stay on the cutting edge of new procedures and technology so I can provide you the very best of care.
Jason Potrykus, DDS, FADIA
I love to make people smile. It’s as simple as that. I love the challenge of helping you, our patients, find the best solutions for your health and dental health care needs. I believe that passion shines through in my work. We work together as a team to improve your quality of life — whether it is a small fillling to help strengthen a tooth, or an implant to chew, taste, and enjoy your food better.
Meet The Team
All our professionals at Potrykus Family Dentistry maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry.
Dental Assistant/Front Office
Jazmine has been with Potrykus Family Dentistry since September 2018. She began working part-time learning everything she could about the sterilization and lab process, and has worked her way up to being an experienced dental assistant as well as assistant to the front office. Jazmine’s enthusiasm for her job is infectious and she makes us all laugh regularly making our days fun and enjoyable and we’re lucky enough to share her in both locations.
Recently engaged, when not at the office you can find Jazmine, her fiancée and furbaby – Chloe off on some adventure… Hiking, long boarding, trying new recipes or spending quiet time at home reading.
Sally joined our team in September 2001. She was born and raised in Freedom WI. She graduated dental assisting school in 1994 from Northeast WI Technical College.
Sally is always looking for ways to learn and expand her horizons. Sally loves getting to know our patients and making them feel comfortable in the dental chair and confident in their smiles. You’ll meet Sally in both our Three Lakes & Eagle River offices as she splits her assisting schedule between both Dr Neal & Dr Jason. When not in the office you’ll definitely find Sally with her family. The entire Lester family are avid bicyclists including cross country style rides & bicycle racing. During the winter you’ll probably meet them on the cross country ski trails.
Hygienist – Eagle River
Ryli has been with our office since May 2017 as an employee; prior to that we had the privilege of having her as a patient as she grew up. We’d like to think we influenced her career choice. 😉 She has the ability to make everyone with whom she comes in contact feel like a long lost friend, even when they are meeting her for the very first time. Patients adore her cheerful personality!
Graduated: Northeast WI Technical College – Dental Hygiene 2016 with her Dental hygiene license. She has gone on to obtain additional training in laser dentistry to treat periodontal disease, anesthetic delivery and well as many additional ours in continuing education to stay on top of her game.
When not in the office you’ll find this newlywed (September 2019) enjoying time outdoors boating, fishing and spending time with family and her dog Milo. She’s also enjoying cooking and new home projects as well.
Heather joined Potrykus Family Dentistry in 2011 as a part time dental assistant and has transitioned to full time. She works with both the doctors here but has an affinity for surgery and loves assisting during surgery cases with Dr Jason.
Heather was raised in Iron River MI and currently lives in Eagle River with her 2 beautiful daughters.
Heather is always looking for ways to learn, enjoys helping patients achieve the smile they’ve always wanted and keeping the doctors on their toes.

Sarah joined Potrykus Family Dentistry in 2014. Sarah completed online courses with the University of Phoenix and obtained her degree in Healthcare Administration.
Sarah is in charge of the office bookkeeping and assists with various duties of our front office and is one of the soothing voices you hear on the other line answering our phones or calling to schedule your appointment in the Eagle River office.
When not in the office you can find Sarah spending time with her husband and teenage son. They enjoy movie nights and family vacations. Sarah also enjoys quiet time reading, sewing and crafting.
Front Office – Three Lakes
The year 2017 brought many changes, but most importantly, it brought Sue to our practice in August 2017 – when after retiring she decided she missed the daily people interaction and joined us on a part time basis in our Three Lakes location. Since then, things have never been the same! She is always willing to help patients and is a great addition to our Three Lakes office. Don’t be surprised if she greets you by name when you’re in the office.
Outside of work, Sue enjoys semi-retirement, watching the Packers/Badgers/Brewers, quilting, knitting, crafting and time in her garden trying to outsmart the deer of the Northwoods.
Hygienist – Three Lakes
Franny came on board in May 2019, making the dynamic hygiene duo a trio, even though she’s only in our Three Lakes location. We don’t know how she does it, but she is happy all the time, which makes everyone around her happy, which is why we (and our patients) love her so much.
Franny graduated 2016 from Nicolet Area Technical College. When not in the office you’ll find Franny spending time with family, her dog Kali and during the summer waterskiing with the Crandon ski team! Come fall and winter she enjoys spending time helping on her grandfather’s Christmas tree farm in Rhinelander.
Hygienist – Eagle River

In her spare time Katie enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog Trey. When its warm you’ll probably find her on the golf course sharpening her golf swing and improving her game.
Vicki has been with Potrykus Family Dentistry since day one! Married to Dr Neal she has been a vital part of the office and fill in front office staff from the start. Today, she enjoys a more laid back position handling advertising and patient recall. This gives her the chance to spend as much time as possible with her 7 beautiful grandchildren; Ethan, Matthew, Landon, Owen, Aiden, Emma & Gretta.

Cheryl has been fortunate to work in several aspects of dentistry and in doing so has gained a wide array of knowledge along the way. She is our very own “air traffic controller” and does a fantastic job keeping our dentists pointed in the right direction.
When not in the office Cheryl and her husband enjoy traveling. From warm winter get a ways to weekend trips to the great lakes they enjoy the great outdoors and seeing the sites to recharge.
